Hannah Frost’s blog on culture shock, marriage, and granola

My crazy story

I am a 30-something who suddenly ended up married and living in Texas.

Before that I was single and living overseas for a decade doing missions. In a four-month sprint, I met Erik on an airplane, got married, quit two full time jobs, and moved away from the country I knew as home.

I’ve loved every minute of this roller coaster ride, but I’m also slowly overcoming the shock of all that transition.

Why I blog

This blog is where I bare my soul about the challenges of reentry to the USA, things Jesus taught me while I was submerged in a different culture overseas, and what I’m learning now about building a healthy home.

Thank you for stepping into this world with me. My prayer is that these experiences will be useful to you in your journey as well.

Full disclosure

Here’s a quick disclaimer: Hannah Frost is not my real name. My husband and I have chosen to withhold our names so we DON’T have to withhold any content from you as we talk openly about missions, marriage and all our deep secrets. 😉

I change the names of some other people mentioned in my blog posts for the same reason, and I generalize some geographic terms. But all the events I write about here, and all the emotions I share, are very real.
