I’m very excited to announce that my first book is out, and you can get it free today!

I published it through Amazon Kindle Direct, so it’s available on Amazon as a Kindle ebook and as a paperback

I wrote this book because I wanted to steward the stories God gave me while I was overseas (and since then, too). The stories I include in this book have been encouraging to me and to others, so I wanted to share them with everyone.

The title comes from the biggest lesson He taught me during my time in Central Asia, the “lavender story,” in which God used the unlikely illustration of lavender to take me to a deeper level of trusting him for my personal worth.

The lesson of lavender is basically this: even if I feel like I’m wasting my life, Jesus receives that as worship when I follow and trust him. Pouring out feels like waste, but waste is an act of trust, and trust is worship.

The book also comes with a soundtrack, a little EP I wrote and recorded along the way, that you can listen to or download free here

As my little Christmas gift to the world, the ebook is free at this link this weekend (through December 27)!

I'm a 30-something who suddenly ended up married and living in Texas. Before that I had been single and overseas doing mission work for about a decade, so it was a shock. I blog to process and reflect.
